Industrial & Commercial Blasting in Houston, TX
This is blasting for businesses and industry, on-site. Structural steel prepping before coating, tanks, pipe and pipe racks, skids, steel buildings, bridges and canopies, heavy equipment paint removal, fleet truck blasting, parking garages and commercial concrete, and plant shutdown work — we bring the rig to your site. Blast-cleaning standards including SA 2.5 matter here, because the right surface profile is what lets the coating hold. We work on active sites under the owner's safety, permit and access rules.
Industrial work often means harder abrasives and a tighter surface profile, but the method is still decided after we see the structure or equipment. Surfaces with lead paint or old coatings need special handling, and we follow the site owner's rules without claiming any specific safety certification.
Paint on homes, brick, metal, trailers and older vehicles from before 1978 may contain lead. Older painted surfaces may need to be tested for lead and handled under the rules that apply.

What's Included
Structural Steel Prepping
Structural steel needs a clean, profiled surface before coating, or the coating won't hold. We blast the steel to the right surface profile — including SA 2.5 where the spec calls for it — so your coater's finish bonds. Structural steel prepping is the first step that makes the rest of the coating system work.
Tanks & Pipe
Tanks, pipe and pipe racks build up old coating and corrosion. We blast them clean on-site, to the profile the new coating needs. Containment and access matter on tanks and pipe, and we set up for the job.
Heavy Equipment Paint Removal
Heavy equipment — from excavators to loaders to cranes — builds up paint, grease and rust. We strip it on-site so the equipment is ready for paint. Heavy equipment paint removal keeps a fleet or a yard looking right and lets you catch corrosion before it spreads.
Fleet Truck Blasting
A fleet of work trucks needs its coating maintained on a schedule, or rust and paint failure spread. We blast fleet trucks on a schedule that fits your operation, at your lot. Fleet truck blasting is part of keeping a fleet on the road.
Commercial Concrete & Parking Structures
Parking garages and commercial concrete build up grime, oil and old sealers. We blast them clean and profiled so a sealer or coating holds. Commercial concrete and parking structures take foot and vehicle traffic, so the surface has to be right before the finish goes on.
Blast-Cleaning Grades & Surface Profile
The surface profile after blasting is what a coating keys into. SA 2.5 (ISO 8501-1) — very thorough blast cleaning, near-white metal, roughly SSPC-SP 10 / NACE No. 2 — is a common standard for industrial coatings. We blast to the profile the spec calls for, so the coating holds. Work on plants and active sites follows the site owner's safety, permit and access rules, without claiming any specific safety certification.
Why This Matters Here
Houston's humidity and Gulf Coast air keep corrosion working on structural steel, tanks, pipe and heavy equipment across the energy, oilfield, construction and logistics corridors. Blasting to the right surface profile is what lets the coating hold.
Care & Prevention Tips
Keep up with a coating maintenance plan on steel, tanks and equipment — Houston's humidity and Gulf Coast air keep corrosion working. Get blasted steel primed or coated quickly, because bare steel flash-rusts fast. For plant work, schedule around shutdowns so the surface is coated before the line runs again.

Pricing Guide
| Job Type | Price | What Affects It |
|---|---|---|
| Structural steel | Quoted after we see the job | Tonnage, profile grade, access |
| Tank or pipe | Quoted after we see the job | Size, coating, containment |
| Fleet trucks | Quoted after we see the job | Count, size, schedule |
| Plant shutdown work | Quoted after we see the job | Scope, site rules, timeline |
The price depends on the tonnage or area, the surface profile required, the coating to remove, containment and access, the site's safety and permit rules, and travel. Industrial work is often quoted per project. We quote after we see the scope.

Industrial & Commercial Blasting FAQ
What is SA 2.5 in blasting?
SA 2.5 is a grade from the ISO 8501-1 standard meaning 'very thorough blast cleaning': at least 95% of the surface is free of visible mill scale, rust, paint and foreign matter, leaving only light stains. It's often called near-white metal, and it's roughly equivalent to SSPC-SP 10 / NACE No. 2. It's the surface profile a lot of industrial coatings require to hold.
Can you blast at our plant or yard during a shutdown?
Yes. Plant shutdown work is a big part of what we do — we bring the rig to your plant or yard and blast on the shutdown's schedule, under your safety, permit and access rules. We don't claim any specific safety certification; we follow the site owner's rules.
Do you work on fleet vehicles on a schedule?
Yes. Fleet truck blasting on a schedule keeps a fleet's coating maintenance on track. We come to your lot on a schedule that fits your operation, and we work under your site's rules for access and safety.
